Two letters with matching envelopes from Paul Maenz to Michio Horikawa and a copy of a letter from Horikawa to Maenz. Also included, one postal receipt for a package sent by Horikawa to Maenz, and a handwritten draft and final printout of the English translation of Horikawa's letter, by Yasunobu Hayashi. Maenz contacts Horikawa on the suggestion of Hans Haacke, describing his plan to provide exhibition space for new artistic work, and requesting more information about Horikawa and his current activities. In his response, Horikawa refers to a stone he is sending under separate cover, as part of an ongoing mail art project. Maenz thanks Horikawa for the information and materials he sent and says he has not yet received the stone.
